![]() The weekend of October 13-15 we have scheduled a trip to Memphis/Nashville starting at The Guest House at Graceland. We will stay there as a group the nights of the 13th-14th. The room rate will be $149.00 + taxes. More information and details about tours will be forthcoming. To date, 31 classmates have expressed interest in going. Please email Judy Deck ASAP if you are interested too. This coming summer marks the 40th anniversary of the death of Elvis in 1977. Graceland (Elvis’ home) in Memphis is doing a number of things to celebrate the anniversary. They have just completed a 450 room full-service hotel called The Guest House at Graceland, with two restaurants and a 464-seat theater. Also a $45 million entertainment complex is opening soon, incorporated into the already popular tours that have been operating for years. Jack and I were there last year in October and the weather was beautiful. Both Nashville and Atlanta are a short drive from Memphis. Since Elvis was a big part of our high school years we thought it might be a nice way to revive our teen memories, together as a class. Any and all comments are welcome. But Elvis haters… be nice! Thanks. Judy and Jack Deck [email protected] 406-453-0856 We had a great time at The Ridler Piano Bar listening to our classmate, Jeff Rowe, sing and play. Visit the home page to see our photos.
We are saddened to report that our classmate, Linda Johnson Myhr, passed away on March 6, 2017 in Oregon. We extend our condolences to her family and friends.
Three more of our classmates lost their husband/partner since our reunion: Terrie (Rossberg) Kessner's husband, Ken "Hoss" Kessner, died July 31, 2016, and Debbie (Beans) Thraikill's partner of 38 years, Clayton "Spud" DeVoe, died November 29, 2016. Also, Bill Hanna, classmate Mary Van Skike Hanna's husband, who died August 2016. We offer our deepest condolences to these families.
Our belated congratulations to Helen (Koski) and John Devoss, who celebrated their 50th anniversary on April 9, and Chuck and Mary Crowell on June 11. May you have many more!
